What a busy week!  All those new faces, new names, new routines...but we made it through!  My computer lab is still not complete, so that is putting a little strain on my technology lessons, but our patience will be rewarded soon with a new wifi connection for the entire lab!  I can't wait for my new promethean board to also be ready.

I am looking into using "Remind101," a computer app that allows me to send text messages to all parents who sign up for free.  I would be able to remind parents of homework assignments and other important information.

I have a busy weekend grading writing and getting ready for next week!  I'm planning on enjoying the sunshine and cool evenings.

Here we go!  Another ride on the middle school rollercoaster!  Lots of reading, lots of writing, lots of tech projects!  I hope everyone is sure that their seat belts are fastened tightly!

    So here we are at the beginning of the second semester confronted with this thing called "digital publication."  So what is it, and why is it important?  Let's start off by saying that you all depend on digital publication in this modern era!  The videos you watch, the books you download, the music you listen to.  They are all forms of digital publication.  They are works of writing or music and they can be accessed digitally.
    We will begin the course off by discussing "blogging."  You are reading a blog right now.  It is my log (journal) created on the web...a we(b log), or BLOG for short.  I can say anything I want here.  I can express opinions or comment on the opinions of others.  I can post useful information or humorous observations.  I can allow others to leave comments on what I have to say!
